Advocating for Addiction Treatment and Education
Asana Recovery’s admissions director, Amber Vaughan, will be heading to Washington, D.C. in two weeks to attend the annual conference of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP). Following the conference, she’ll join allies in the fight against addiction to lobby our nation’s lawmakers on Capital Hill.
You don’t have to be a professional to get involved! If you’re interested in using your passion and personal experience to drive policy change or raise awareness about addiction, there are numerous ways you can get involved in addiction advocacy. You can join - or launch - volunteer efforts on state or national level to support organizations like these:
Partnership to End Addiction. Check out their webinar, Introduction to Advocacy.
