New members of the Asana Recovery team
We would like to welcome new members of staff!
Samantha has been working in the addictions industry for the bulk of her career and couldn’t imagine doing anything else. She says that it’s rewarding work that allows her to make a substantial difference in people’s lives while collaborating with a passionate team that shares the same values.
She previously attended Minnesota State University and received a bachelor’s degree in sociology. At Asana Recovery, Samantha works as a Program Manager, where she is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day administrative functions and facility operations. She also works on contract compliance and management, personnel management, staff supervision, competency assessment, and performance reviews. Samantha also oversees the condition of facilities for compliance with CARF standards and other regulatory agencies.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and exploring new places. She is also an avid reader and enjoys baking, staying active, and dancing. Before living in California, Samantha spent five years living in Texas and originally comes from Minnesota.
She’s happiest when spending time with her friends, family, and pets. She has a dog named Saint and a cat named Slayer.
Chadi works as a Medical Technician at Asana Recovery where he is responsible for nursing assessments, medication monitoring, and documentation. He can also be found measuring and recording clients’ vital signs, providing collected medical data to clinical staff, observing client concerns, and recommending clients to emergency medical care when necessary.
He attends the University of California Irvine as a Public Health Sciences major. Chadi is currently a pre-medical student and hopes to one day become an Emergency Medicine Physician.
He has an interest in the addictions industry because he wants to help others. He says “Sadly, our population suffers greatly with victims of substance abuse and addiction. Fortunately, I am in a position where I can use my skills and knowledge to make a difference in my patients’ lives and guide them through their road to recovery.”
In his free time, he enjoys working out, being outdoors, and practicing his photography skills. Chadi comes from a very large family which helps him be an extrovert. He also has three pets at home, two puppies and a cat. He finds happiness in spending time with family and friends and enjoys traveling and being exposed to new cultures, traditions, and languages.
Staff Updates
Linda In has been promoted to Facilities Director! Congratulations Linda!
Linda has a long history with the two co-founders of Asana Recovery, Mark and Adam, and considers them her mentors. They began their professional relationship working together in real estate. When Mark and Adam decided to open an addictions treatment center, Linda wanted to join them, getting her start at Asana Recovery.
She says that working in the addictions industry is extremely eye-opening to the epidemic and she is happy to contribute to the lives of people who come to the facility; “Seeing our clients leave our facilities in much better condition is truly gratifying.”
She likes to keep busy and enjoys being under what she calls “good stress”. She says “I love what I do therefore it never feels like work. I love the people I work with which is icing on the cake.”
Being a mom of three keeps Linda very busy and she says that being a mom is her special skill. She is very involved in softball and baseball with her family and likes to take them hiking. When she has a moment to herself, Linda enjoys rollerblading and going to the beach.
We are also happy to announce that Maggie Sumioka is joining the HR Team! Congratulations Maggie!
