Here is this week’s update for Asana Recovery team members:
Employee updates
Asana Recovery is excited to announce that Kenny Gildar, Case Manager, is permanently moving from Inpatient to Outpatient!
Lupe, our new Case Manager, will be stepping in for Kenny, helping Track 1 with David Coleman. She comes to us with many years of experience and we are excited to have her on the team!
Kenneth graduated from Louisiana State University with a BA in history in 2009. He joins Asana Recovery as a Case Manager, providing support and mentoring clients while maintaining a caseload. Acting as the central receiver of clinical data, Kenneth works closely with the Clinical Director and helps to create treatment plans, respond to crises, and ensure the efficacy of service delivery.
He has chosen to work in the addictions industry because he is in recovery himself and enjoys helping others. He says, “it is very fulfilling for me to try and instill hope in people who are still struggling with addiction.”
In his free time, he enjoys playing drums in a band and is also skilled in bass. He can often be found spending time with friends and family, driving around California, listening to music, drinking coffee, watching movies, and going to restaurants. He shares his home with his girlfriend and their cat, Pumpkin.
New member of the Asana Recovery team
We would like to welcome a new member of staff!
Rory works as a Behavioral Health Technician at Asana Recovery. He explains detox medications and withdrawal symptoms, observes and charts clients, collects samples, and works with medical staff to provide assistance.
He got started in the addictions industry because he loves to help people and give back to the program. Rory is proud to be over one year sober himself!
Sunny days and spending time with family are what make him happy. He has a four-year-old son and enjoys staying active by participating in hockey, surfing, and golf.
Training reminder
We would like to remind all staff that there is an upcoming training on Medical 101 with Tania. The training will be held at 1:00 p.m. on July 27th.
Asana Recovery trivia
Last week we asked Asana Recovery staff to answer this question: Which was the first country to use paper money?
Answer: China
The winner is Jessica! Congratulations on winning a $5 gift card from Starbucks!
This week’s question is: Where is the birthplace of AA?
Please submit your answers to HR. Correct answers will be entered into a draw for a $5 Starbucks gift card!
