Here is this week’s update for Asana Recovery team members:

Group facilitation information

Information is now available for Asana Recovery staff pertaining to effective clinical group facilitation. This is especially important and applicable for Behavioral Health Technicians as they work toward the role of Certified Counselor.

Behavioral Health Technicians have a main role of clinical group facilitation and documentation for group notes (S.O.A.P or G.I.R.P). It is important that staff in this role familiarize themselves with the applicable websites and material. You can start developing your own notes to help you prepare to run a group at any time.

Upcoming staff vs. clients beach volleyball game!

Please join us for an upcoming staff event! We are hosting a clients vs. staff beach volleyball game!

When: March 30, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Huntington Beach, by the pier

Local food suggestion

This weeks’ local food recommendation comes from John Kamau: Pineapple Dole whip or malted cookies and cream milkshake with caramel from Rich Farm Ice Cream.

Milkshakes come regular or malted, you can choose one or two flavors, and have the choice of using hard ice cream or soft serve.

It is located at 901 E. Yorba Linda Blvd. Ste F, Placentia, CA, 92870

Rich Farm Ice Cream is open Sunday to Thursday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday to Saturday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
