Clients vs. Staff Kickball Game Recap

Asana Recovery Kickball Game and Picnic: Clients Won!

On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Asana Recovery hosted a staff vs. clients kickball game and picnic at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley.  All clients and several staff members were in attendance. 

Venus went to the park in the morning to set up the food, beverages, and game. She was then greeted by staff and clients who arrived at the park. Everyone sat down at picnic tables and ate pizza for lunch. Clients and staff alike were very excited to converse with one another, especially the clients. Seeing old friends and staff that have helped them on their journey of recovery was very meaningful to them. 

After eating, the kickball games took place. It was a beautiful day to have some friendly competition. The client's team beat the staff team, 14-3! Everyone appreciated getting out of the house and enjoying the warm, sunny day with each other. It was also a meaningful moment to show clients that life in sobriety is fun and worth the effort. Clients and staff alike had lots of positivity to spread.
