Employee Spotlight: Meet Misty Ashby
In this edition of our employee spotlight, we introduce you to Misty Ashby, our dedicated Case Manager. Misty shares her passions, personal experiences, and what makes her journey with Asana Recovery so meaningful.
Getting to Know Misty Ashby
Personal Interests
When Misty isn’t hard at work, she’s focused on spending quality time with her son, Ryder. Together, they enjoy a range of activities, from visiting amusement parks to exploring haunted attractions during Halloween. If they’re not chasing thrills, you might catch them at a concert, indulging in some sushi, or even gaming together on Fortnite. “Yes, I’m an amateur gamer, lol,” Misty jokes.
One of Misty’s greatest passions is giving back to the community. She spends much of her free time doing outreach for the unhoused, visiting homeless campsites, handing out necessities, and sharing conversations.
"All humans long to be seen and valued, but so many unhoused individuals express feeling invisible. Giving back is my way of self-care. When life feels overwhelming, I find balance by helping others."
Fun Facts about Misty
Recent Adventure: Misty recently appeared as an extra in WesGhost’s music video, "Switchblade" “Honestly, how awesome is that?”
Dream Vacation: If Misty could travel anywhere, it would be Tokyo, Japan. She’s fascinated by the blend of modern architecture, tranquil spaces, and vibrant city life.
Anime Enthusiast: Thanks to her son, Misty has become a fan of anime shows like Naruto and Death Note. “It would be incredible to visit all the anime stores in Tokyo,” she admits.
Inspiration from Family
The person who has touched Misty's life the most is her grandfather, Thomas. His work ethic, family values, and heart for service have deeply shaped her.
"My grandfather was a member of SERTOMA (Service to Mankind) and was even awarded ‘Member of the Year’ in the early 2000s. He showed me that doing the right thing is just part of being human. His integrity has become one of my core values."
What Misty Loves about Asana Recovery
“Working for Asana Recovery is a pleasure, especially because the company values compassion and integrity, which align perfectly with my personal beliefs. As an employee, I feel both valued and heard, and that’s so important.
If you aren’t happy at work, it shows. I love that I get to work alongside caring, ethical professionals and owners who hold their company to a high standard. Helping others has always been my passion, and it’s an honor to be part of a company doing so much good!”
Misty has a photo to accompany this spotlight: a sweet snapshot of her and her "handsome sushi date" – her son Ryder. “He loves when we get fancy and go out to eat,” Misty shares with a smile.

How to Participate:
Costume Contest: Wear your best Halloween costume on October 31st.
Submit a photo of your costume to HR@asanarecovery.com by noon on the 31st.
Judging and Prizes:
Once all photos are submitted, everyone will get a chance to vote for their favorite costumes.
Winners will be announced on Friday, November 1st!
