Asana Recovery Weekly Team Update: Facility Improvements for Enhanced Recovery Experience
New Members of the Team, Employee and House Updates, Trivia, and Food Suggestions
Here is this week’s update for Asana Recovery team members:
New members of the Asana Recovery team
We would like to welcome two new members of staff!
Monica joins Asana Recovery as an Onboarding Specialist, where she prepares and updates employment records to maintain state compliance, onboards new hires into various HRIS platforms, and explains human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees. She also stays busy assisting with employment-related issues and helps with the hiring process, including coordinating job posts, reviewing resumes, and performing interviews.
She got started in the addictions industry because of her passion for helping others. For the past nine years, she worked as a teacher and had the opportunity to work with kids and families, building strong relationships, seeing them grow, and making an impact in their lives. She wants to continue on that path in her career, yet seek a change and work with adults. She hopes to have similar opportunities to build strong connections, help people grow, and make an impact.
Monica enjoys cooking, hiking, working out, and trying out new restaurants. She shares her life with her boyfriend of six years. They are both huge Dodgers fans who love going to games and collecting bobbleheads. Now they want to visit every MLB stadium. She also loves brunch, soy candles, and going to concerts.
Before starting her career, Monica studied at California State University, Long Beach, majoring in child development and family studies.
Cruz got started in the addictions industry because he has a desire to help others. At Asana Recovery, he works as a Behavioral Health Technician. He can be found observing and charting patients, collecting samples, conducting client rounds, and assisting with client prescriptions.
He is skilled in rock climbing, bouldering, copy editing, and forensics speech and debate. In his free time, he loves cinema, particularly science fiction and historically-based stories.
Happiness to Cruz is having new experiences, connecting with people, pushing himself physically, and growing spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. He also enjoys debating and great storytelling. By the end of the year, Cruz hopes to start a YouTube channel.
Cruz was born in San Clemente and attended Montana State University, majoring in sociology, criminal justice, and business administration. He has a 21-year-old daughter and grew up with four brothers and one sister.
